We would like Canny MCP to support broader standard MCP-compatible clients, especially Codex CLI and third-party Claude Code environments. Right now, Canny MCP appears to work with a limited set of approved clients such as ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, and Cursor. However, many teams use multiple AI coding tools in their daily workflow. In our case, we use Canny heavily for product operations and spend several hundred dollars per month on it, but we cannot connect the MCP server from Codex CLI or some third-party Claude Code setups. This creates a workflow bottleneck because the REST API and MCP expose different capabilities. We understand that API and MCP may not have identical functionality, but MCP itself should ideally be accessible from any standard MCP-compatible client, or Canny should provide clear connection details and configuration instructions for advanced users. Our use case is to use Canny MCP for product feedback triage, Ideas/Insights workflows, Autopilot handoff, and agent-assisted product operations across the tools our team already uses. Request: Please support generic MCP client connection, or add official setup documentation for Codex CLI, third-party Claude Code environments, and other standard MCP clients.

Provide an ability for real-time status syncing from Canny to Jira. So that if the status of a post is updated in Canny it is reflected real time in the linked issue in Jira.

MCP Server currently supports actions like list_ideas, list_groups, etc., but it doesn’t include a way to list companies. It would be really helpful to add a list_companies action so we can pull a list of companies (including id and name) and map company names to companyIDs on our side, without needing to use an API key. This would make it much easier to build workflows that group or sort feature requests by the company that upvoted them.

Allow for integrations like Pendo Forms, SurveyMonkey, Wootric, etc. to appear in the Canny end-user interface. If people are in Canny to give product feedback, it's the perfect place to give other types of feedback. Canny can then pass that data back to the integration.

We provide secure and policy driven access to MCP servers for our customers using our MCP proxy gateway. I would like to request you to please whitelist our domain in our MCP Server Allowlist for clients, we are not a client per say, we are proxy that sits between our customer AI client and your MCP Server which means instead of seeing Cursor you will see Keycard as a client (since we proxy and save your access token in our protected vault which is later shared with our customers AI client using token exchange). Can you please create a client id and secret for us to use with our customers.

Currently Google Workspace will authenticate users into private boards but does not have the ability to authenticate admin users.

We use notion for dev planning (like jira/trello) - would be helpful to be able to push a bug report or feature request to Notion (where it would create a document)
