I'd like the owner field to be able to be seen on the public facing side of our board and not just the admin side! This will help our team as they triage bugs / ideas by communicating to the voters and submitters when something has been taken ownership of.

Sarah Hum when I talk about post owners, I mean the person, mainly a product manager, is responsible for delivering the idea.
Yes, especially when there are internal folks from the company voting on the idea and/or when the post is becoming stale. @mention the product owner could help the accountability to respond.

Also when there is turnover in the software company that the product owner has change adds another layer of accountability

We have the same problem - unless we add a comment, there's no way to tell someone's been assigned, or who to talk to in order to follow up on an issue or get an update. Canny feels like a black hole.

This would be amazing. Our submitters don't realize that action is actually happening in the background and think these tickets are just sitting. By showing the owner, this 1) tells them that the owners (our Product Managers) noticed it and 2) gives the submitter a point of contact to reach out to if they need to.
