Be able to attach other file types
Ian Blumel
Sometimes I want to attach more than just an image to help my users see the issue. Sometimes a PDF with some larger details would be easier to show. Sometimes a video (see https://feedback.canny.io/feature-requests/p/video-attachments).
Being able to do this would also allow the community to serve as a an ad-hoc support service.

We would like to collect log files from users, which are often unwieldy to provide inline. This is pretty basic functionality: would love to see at least text file attachments supported.

Waiting for this feature ! Our users must submit documents to support too

This feature is very important to me as well. My project reads and writes files, and my users' bug reports are almost related to these files.

This one would be so useful, and allow users to submit documents to support a feature request.

Hi Canny, for our use case we would live to have log files or additional files such as CSV added as we can directly update/receive it from our customers

I think this feature request is too broad. To be able to upload .txt files for a bug reporting tool seems essential. This is a universal format for logs which are a requirement for diagnosing many types of bugs. It means Canny.io is missing out on being a tool for most types of software development and is primarily focusing on web apps.
I agree videos and other things might be nice. There is always option to upload this to the cloud and have them link here. Getting someone to track down a log file is already a lot to ask, but then asking them to use a cloud provider for a 15KB file is way too much to ask a user.
I loved the concept and implementation of Canny. I was going to start with the Growth plan and then swap over to Business plan after experimenting with this for a few months. Unfortunately this feature alone is the blocker for us why we can't proceed.
