Upvote on Slack through emoji use rather than having to start instance of canny

This would help the most with internal ideas. We want to make it as easy as possible for our team to share ideas and upvote them. The extra step of having to search for the same post, select your name from the list, and then upvote it is silly when the post creating is already listed in the slack channel and was posted by someone else less than a minute ago

I 100% agree with this too. I use the Slack integration at my company. Instead of trying to train the entire company to use Canny, we have a Slack channel where employees can post their ideas. I then use the Canny plugin to generate a Canny post for these ideas. People use the Slack emojis to upvote these ideas more often than the Canny voting feature, and a lot of voting activity gets lost. Being able to sync emoji upvotes in Slack to upvotes in Canny would be amazing. As a start, at least counting any upvotes that have already happened when I create a Canny post with the Slack plugin would be super helpful. The majority of the voting action happens right after the idea is shared, but I don't always get around to creating a post right away.

Just to add to this. If I have Slack integration with Canny and I post a feedback that is then cross-posted on Slack, I want the Slack reactions used on that post on Slack to be then sent back to Canny as Upvotes.

Thanks for the feedback Verdigris green Canidae. I'm trying to understand your current flow better.
- Someone at the company creates a post in Canny via Slack
- You click on the post in the Slack channel and add your vote
Is that wrong? I'm confused why you need to search for the post and your name to vote.
