When searching for a voter to add a vote on their behalf, we do a prefix search. This means "John" matches "John Smith", but "Smith" doesn't.

Andrew Rasmussen: This is great news, thanks Andrew - I'm testing it though and I'm unable to find the search by email feature (have tried using the name search field for both original Canny and Canny 2.0 but it doesn't find users by email). Attached screenshot examples. :-)

The search found in People (https://[ORG].canny.io/admin/users) is much more robust and has all of these features. If this search were somehow accessible from "Add voter" it would be a huge help.

Currently, to add a voter to a post you look them up by name, but if lots of voters have the same name this doesn't work well.
It'd be helpful if you could add a voter by name or email.

Along these lines in the user search searching for a partial email address / @domain.com would be helpful for reps to go look at people from their assigned customers and see if they have been commenting.

Workaround I've found is to scroll down on users page with opened browser devtools and search in Response Preview for email in the last

. Then navigate to https://{ORG}.canny.io/admin/users/{urlName}

Zeroth Dove Amber Goat FYI we recently released company search so that you can search requests across an account. You would need to be sending in company data in order for this to work.
