Redirect Canny subdomain to custom domain
Andrew Rasmussen
If you've set up feedback.yoursite.com, we should 301 redirect yoursite.canny.io there.

It appears that there are still no 301 redirects to custom domains.
One alternative (which is well within Google's best practices—in fact, it's built for this very purpose) would be to set a rel=canonical tag on every page on yoursite.canny.io that points to the same page on the custom domain.

Hi Annual Goat, we actually do this! If you click the "make primary" button on your custom domain in your company settings, we will indicate that your domain is the canonical source.

is there any update on this or a workaround?

Definitely important! This is also a consistency thing for our customers. We want them hitting our domain and not Canny (no offense!).

+1 especially important for SEOs and page rankings. I'm surprised to find that this does not happen by default.

Yes please 😁
Or if this handy link could become the custom domain, that would be great. Just realized I've been sending everyone to the wrong domain. Thanks!

Ahh, I just realized this is especially important for SEO. I need to go back and swap out a bunch of links. Not a big deal, but would be nice not to have to do. Best!
