Sarah Hum: Hey Sarah! We're looking to use them in Posts or Product Tours specifically so Intercom users don't need to personally do this for each agent. When I try to add the "Canny app" to a Post, it prompts the user to submit their own feedback. See here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/OAuqdWYl

Maybe I'm missing something, though?

Krypton green Angelfish: Ahh super interesting. It looks like it's trying to get you to set up our "Messenger Home" app which allows people to open a select board. So you're trying to surface a specific Canny post that people can vote on instantly. Totally get the use case but yeah we didn't build this integration to live in posts/product tours.

I wonder if a different solution might be better in this case? Like maybe setting up a Slack notification to trigger when this post is marked as complete. That way, people who do end up voting will get a notification but also everyone in a select Slack channel.

Sarah Hum: Sorry for the delay here! Great suggestion with the Slack integration, however we have about 1500 users on Slack, but these notifications are meant for our agents (internal customers of about 20k) who don't use Slack.

Krypton green Angelfish: Ah gotcha. Zapier to email maybe?

Sarah Hum: That's what we do :) The goal with this specific request would be to get voters added without needing to see the post at all. Tbh many of our customers don't read the instructions and don't vote, then they still expect an email 🙃

Krypton green Angelfish: Ah okay haha :) yeah I guess it seems like these notifications could go out to everyone, regardless of if they voted or not. Guess it depends on the message/use case though. Will keep this post open, thanks for the feedback!
