Allow users to view their activity history

Allow users to filter or search for their own posts, either within a particular board or across all areas of Canny.
This could quickly and easily be shown to stakeholders / management.
At the moment, the only way to find your own posts in Canny is to use the sorting options and scroll through the list, or search for a relevant keyword.
You can filter for "My Own" within each board however this includes all the posts you've upvoted, not just those you've created yourself.
The solution may be to add an additional filter for "My Votes", and change the current "My Own" filter to only show posts that you have created.
Another option would be to have a separate area in the account options for "My Suggestions", where you would be able to see all the posts you have created across all boards.

As an admin, I can see what users have voted, posted, and commented on. Our users would like to view a similar record of their activity.

Please show a section that you can click that will show all your requests for that company including all the votes you have

Hi there, have you seen the "My Own" filter?
C

Hi yes ive seen it. It only shows what ive voted for. not my own suggetsions
Sarah Hum
Comparable Boa: Your own suggestions should be showing up there as well. Can you link me to a post that you created that isn't in your list?

Sarah Hum: https://highrise.canny.io/feature-requests/p/55-offers
Sarah Hum
Comparable Boa: I see that post in your list. Can you make sure you're scrolling down to load more posts with the "My Own" filter on?

Sarah Hum: ok yes i see them but they are mixed up with ofther peoples suggestions that I've voted for. If it would be separated that would be better.

Sarah Hum: The problem here is that there is no way to _only_ see your posts to quickly and easily access them. If you upvote a lot of posts, there will be a lot of posts shown for "My Own" so the ones you posted are interspersed and really hard to find.
Personally for me, another reason why I want to be able to see "My posts" (rather than just all the ones I've upvoted) are: (1) quickly checking in on the status of a post I've added (especially if I haven't received a notification about it recently), (2) as part of a user community for an app, it's really enjoyable to go back and see what I've suggested and I feel a sense of pride for these posts (similar to how it's fun to check back on your own user profile / badges / stats for things -- I do this a lot and would guess that a number of users do as well).

Sarah Hum: What we're really looking for is a way to manage our requests. Imagine that we are a client and we want a status report that can be discussed in a meeting. All that other stuff with votes is a whole lot of noise.
Now from the standpoint of software companies using Canny.io, we would want to see a list that is tagged as "Clients" and be able to group users together so that all of the requests for that one client could be tracked. That functionality doesn't exist either.
The basic deal is that we need a way to see user input, but filter to remove the likes from the list. Preferably I would be able to search multiple users, filter, then save that as a search and name the group attached to the search, plus add a tag "client" to make sure that it populates a "client" view.
Lots to work on here.

Hi Keen Owl, if I'm understanding you correctly, sounds like three existing features would be helpful for you:
- Company search: go to the users tab in your Canny admin view. Search the name of the client you're looking for. It should show requests from everyone there.
- Segmentation (Growth): If there's a specific trait you're looking to filter by, you can create a user segment.
- Saved filters: Once you get the filters you want, you can name and save that filter set.
Hope that helps!

Sarah Hum: If that is the case, then does that mean that the OP could filter for "requests" or "posts" and not have to see upvotes?
I think Claire did a good job of presenting options for this.
Sarah Hum
Keen Owl: Oh no, the "my own" filter includes both stuff you've voted on and posted.
K

Sarah Hum: That being the case, is it possible to filter "My Own" to exclude "voted"?
Sarah Hum
Keen Owl: Not currently, this is the right post to vote on though. You'll get an update here if our team prioritizes this! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
